Mental health remains one of the most underappreciated parts of medicine, especially in a country that has lived through long conflict and displacement. Our members carry the responsibility of caring for the illnesses in our textbooks, and for the burden of a nation that is still healing.

The national association of psychiatrists working in mental health and psychiatry in Iraq.

الجمعية الوطنية للأطباء النفسانيين العاملين في مجال الصحة النفسية والطب النفسي في العراق.

Who we areمن نحن

The Iraqi Psychiatric Association brings together psychiatrists working in the Ministry of Health, the universities, the armed forces and the private sector. It also keeps in contact with Iraqi psychiatrists abroad, whether they left in exile or now work in host countries.

The association began in 1970–71 as the Iraqi Association of Neurological and Psychiatric Physicians, whose members included both psychiatrists and neurosurgeons. It was established under its present name in 1972.

Since then it has worked through programmes and projects, partnerships with other institutions, and education for the public, to support psychiatrists and the people they care for.

تضم جمعية الأطباء النفسانيين العراقية الأطباء النفسانيين العاملين في وزارة الصحة والجامعات والقوات المسلحة والقطاع الخاص، وتتواصل مع الأطباء النفسانيين العراقيين في الخارج، سواء في المهجر أو في البلدان المضيفة.

بدأت الجمعية عام ١٩٧٠–١٩٧١ باسم جمعية أطباء الأمراض العصبية والنفسية العراقية، وضمّت في عضويتها الأطباء النفسانيين وجرّاحي الجملة العصبية، ثم تأسست باسمها الحالي عام ١٩٧٢.

ومنذ ذلك الحين تعمل الجمعية من خلال البرامج والمشاريع، والشراكات مع المؤسسات المعنية، وتوعية المجتمع، لدعم الأطباء النفسانيين والمرضى الذين يرعونهم.

توجيه البحث العلميتشجيع البحث العلمي ودعمه في مختلف مجالات الطب النفسي.
رفع الكفاءة المهنيةتعزيز الكفاءة العلمية والمهنية للأطباء النفسانيين، وتنمية التعاون العلمي والفكري.
التوعيةتحسين فهم المجتمع للأمراض النفسية ومساعدة المحتاجين على الوصول إلى الدعم.

Abstract guidelinesإرشادات تقديم الملخصات

The conference is in person. At least one author must register, attend and present.
The submitting author enters all author details and uploads the abstract through the submission form.
Choose oral presentation or poster when you submit.
Abstracts must be in English, in 12 pt font, following APA 7th edition style.

المؤتمر حضوري، ويجب أن يسجّل مؤلف واحد على الأقل ويحضر لتقديم البحث.
يُدخل المؤلف المقدِّم بيانات جميع المؤلفين ويرفع الملخص عبر استمارة التقديم.
حدّد نوع المشاركة عند التقديم: عرض شفهي أو ملصق علمي.
